I am a huge fan of George Carlin. I been a fan from the early 70s where I could listen to his jokes on cassette tapes, 8-tracks, vinyls and the great thing is my mother never speak English so I could play them and never got in trouble with my folks>:) Then later in life I collected all of his albums on CDs and if I had to pick one, just one it had to be the 1999 'You Are All Diseased' And if any of you never heard of seen the standup JUST STOP EVERYTHING and go download this on Itune or livestream on Netflix or what ever just go!
I got lucky and seen some of his live stand-ups in NYC and yes seen some of his films he was in, not many but still nice to see him on the big screen.
And on the day he passed away I played all his mp3s all day long as a tribute to maybe the greatest comedian in my whole life.

Got to see him with my brother when he came to our town. The funniest part was after he left and our local reviewers didn't like the fact he was critical of Christain vales. When I heard that I laughed harder than I did at the show which, to his credit, had me in tears I was laughing so hard.
I've no idea who this is, but I'm a big fan of vintage comedy, especially the BBC. It's not PC nowerdays, there's stuff they would do that you couldn't get away with int he modern era, but it was fun.
Radio comedy especially, things like Dad's Army, Round the Horne, The Navy Lark and I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again, the precursor to Monty Python. All great shows, with great comics and full of variety...
