As odd as it may look, I did indeed do this traditionally. Markers over an ink original. Cleaned up the stray pen lines in the GIMP. One of my more ambitious pieces to date.
Drawing made for the Anthrocon 2009 Conbook. Considering there's probably hundreds of other submissions I doubt mine will be seen, but it's good to try.
