TLoD: Damian atop the Wall
So now that I've reuploaded all my old crap, I can get around to uploading all my new crap.
"Damian stands proudly along the wall, staring out into the infinite abyss. Amongst him stand men from every walk of life, and every species. They all stand united, arm in arm because Damian was able to bring them together for a common cause.
To fight... them..."
This is a picture I uploaded to my deviantART page quite a while ago. As I rped more and more with H.D. in the Spoils of War/Legend of Damian setting, this image just kind of screamed what the setting would be. It really made me think of the titular hero Damian more as a uniting force against this overpowering wave of darkness, rallying all races and creeds to his side and being their beacon of hope.
This also lets me sort of talk about the setting of TLoD which is where Spoils of War is set in. As I said before in this piccy>> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20512968/ , TLoD is a spyro fanfic. Set 45 years after the long arderous wars with the Dark Master, the realms came to know many new threats and allies. Contact with a far flung space faring human empire happened, along with another mysterious imperial reptilian race, the Lakadors. As jarring as this meeting of magic and science was, as the two sides met they began to find they had far more in common. Everyone began to realize that this place, this world, might just be an ancient home for all of them. Now, 45 years later the societies have mixed and grown upon each other, the humans and lakadors adopting magic in ways they never thought possible, and the reverse for dragonkind. Yet, this all came with a cost. As the races intermingled and reconnected, an ancient enemy once banished rears its ugly head...
That, is the super shorthand version, and about 2 massive stories that I wrote on my dA page squashed together. As for Spoils of War, it is set a little ahead in the TLoD timeline, as the great evils now run wild in this world. This picture is kind of representative of that moment, where Damian unites all the different species into one mighty alliance to fight off the darkness. And yes, those are human Marines alongside anthros in armor. The mix of tech and fantasy... mmmf, I wub it.
I hope to upload more world building stuff for Spoils of War/TloD, since I have so many ideas for them :u specially since I've been rping with my friend. So fun.
