-They're born with no patterns. This is true for both feathered and scaled varieties. Patterns will start to develop after two weeks or so.

-Patterns tend to be a combination of the parent designs, and this will be shown later on.

-They're born with a lighter coloring, and it will darken in a few days after their scales fully harden. Until then, they can appear to be slightly translucent, with veins standing out.
- Incredibly sensitive to light at this point. Darkness or dim blue light is preferred.

-Masks are not yet fully developed, and will take on more features as the nox ages.

-The wing to body ratio is much smaller than it is at the adult stage, and wings won't be large or strong enough for flight until around 2-2 1/2 months.
- Will begin exploring outside of the nest at this point. Still reliant on parents for food and learning for another month. Highest death rate for wild nox at this stage.

-'Blind' at birth. They don't learn to properly use their echolocation for a short period of a few hours. Until then, they'll either stay in place or attempt to explore their environment through scent. They will lick things.

-A young nox is called a cheeper. Yes, it is a cheeper. Multiple nox babies are called cheeplings.
