It's been a long time since I've done anything personal and introspective(if at all). This is several things all wrapped into one, reflecting being overcome by and drowning in fear until you can't talk about it to anyone, encompassing a literal fear of mine with deep water, and a couple other things.

I'm not very good at writing artistic statements about what each thing in my pieces represent or mean but the braid is a direct representation of me - I have a braid in my hair that's longer than the rest of my hair and it's been something people have come to identify me with in person. The bubbles are not only a loss of breath but also a sort of representation for thoughts and words floating upwards to where they'll inevitably be so far away that no one will be able to hear. Everything inside them, the sounds and the message, will eventually dissipate until there is nothing to understand.

Just silence.
