This is part of an experimental process I am trying. I'm attempting to get my anatomy consistant and good enough such that my drawings need not be detailed and colored to look accurate.
There are still some technical problems with these guys:
-back limbs on far animal are misshapen
-eyes are still not yet perfectly aligned..practice makes perfect
-noses are crooked?
-front legs on lying one mismatch
-back of rear animal looks flat
neares forepaw is too angled
-forelegs on farther animal need bolder lines when meething with fore animal.
-neck...issues. Suggestions?
Feel free to critique please! Helpful suggestions are greatly appreciated.

-back limbs on far animal are misshapen
>I'm missing the heel. they may be a bit too thin, but then again many wolves look like they walk on stilts. :)
-eyes are still not yet perfectly aligned..practice makes perfect
> °.O
-noses are crooked?
>the laying one's is for sure.
-front legs on lying one mismatch
>except when we assume the's pulled his elbow back, then it might match. only the rest of his pose/expression speaks of a relaxed pose.
-back of rear animal looks flat
>uhm, yes.
-neares forepaw is too angled
>you think so? well, I have seen large dogs using this pose. of course, it doesn't fit the rest of his pose.
-forelegs on farther animal need bolder lines when meething with fore animal.
>yes, but it can be done with shading, too. :)
-neck...issues. Suggestions?
>hard to say. the standing one looks good to me. the laying one's head could be pressed backwards, eyeing something suspiciously. the neck does appear a bit too long, too.
I would offer redlines, but I fear my skills with fourlegged animals are sub-par at best. :P

I wonder if the head of the lower one is too small, creating that effect...I ought to play with it in photoshop...
Thanks for the crit and comments, it was very helpful. I'm hoping to take my art to the next level, where things are consistent and small details such as eye placement all match up.
When I was younger, I used to think that rendering could hide all of that, now I know it's just a cop-out!
