Well I had thought of it before, but since "robots" don't have a pulse I don't think a dead man switch would help.
Maybe a self destruct move, but then again if you lose a faction of a second before your opponent you lose.
But barring all the theory stuff yeah self inflicted damage is just funnier for viewers.
