I need practice doing digital stuff... lots of it, because I won't be able to afford a scanner any time soon. So after bingeing on tutorials on DA, and in particular one by Thundercake on how to do stylized portraits I decided to do a series featuring characters of the artists I admire. The theme is the rainbow so I can practice working with a limited palette instead of going apeshit with rainbows like I tend to do.

Not only does she do 2 pretty neat comics, but she draws otters which I thought was awsome especially since I can't draw a cute otter to save my hide. This is her character Pimo a pink *squee* Papillon who is the star of his own comic!
I'm playing around with a lot of things lately and have found that I really love putting a scribble affect over my colors to add texture, sometimes it works... in this case it didn't turn out so well.
And Beanie... I'm so sorry I made his face so girly... I Fail at Males.
I'll try this again once I suck less promise!
The next to be featured will be a very famous coon... hmm...
