DESCRIPTION ON HOW ROBOTS GET FAT:
Tech is primarily fission-driven, but capable of leeching energy from electronics/power lines/etc. I also wanted them to be able to eat food, so I threw in that function too. The stomach just breaks stuff own into its base elements and then uses those to drive the micro-atomsmasher and create nuclear isotopes (OR SOME OTHER HALF-PLAUSIBLE PSEUDOSCIENTIFIC BABBLE). Techno can process food as an emergency measure, so I don't see why they couldn't store up fat for some reason. Like, if tech was stranded in antarctica, and had no way to absorb energy, and ran out of nuclear power after a thousand years, and the only way to subsist was on penguins or something... Tech would probably eat every penguin in sight, and then just store the energy. but because it's biomatter, and techno only has a small combustion chamber as a stomach, it would have to go somewhere. And the layer between the skin and the chassis seems like a good place for it to store.

Also, I've always wondered why those oat pieces in the cereal are shaped like they are.
Maybe ancient runic symbols specifically imbued with god-like power when ingested. And the marshmallows are to hide the powerful secret that floats in your leftover bowl of milk.
