Koopa Anu - Concept doodle
I was just scribbling around in Photoshop and decided to try and work out a Koopa design for Anu, since I've wanted to do such for over a year now.
Soo...uh...there it is?
I may finish this with colors and whut not if I can figure out what to do with the left (her right) hand. I'm trying to make it so the shell is still visible, and that's proving to be a tough task for me, since no matter how I pose it accordingly, it's stiff :<
Anyone have any tips?

I'd keep the character and scrap the pose, she's got a ton of appeal. As you say, her line of action is stiff; If you placed a vertical line going from her (screen left) foot, to her shoulder, you'd see a straight line with no break.
Try posing her using a strong line of action, and good weight in the shoulder and hip angles without even considering the shell. That way, you'll know what contours you can cheat and at what angles. Add the shell once you're happy with the weight of the pose. Also, watch out with those 3/4 kneecaps with profile feet (unless you're going for duckfooted) :P
