You lay against the tree's wide trunk, sleeping in a ray of sunlight when he came upon you there, his big feet shuffling through the blanket of dry leaves. He took pause, eyeing you with confusion--for starters, you were in his spot, and secondly he wasn't exactly a sociable sort...Especially not with kids. He leaned in, brow furrowed, and he opened his mouth to speak, but halted. A sort of ethical dilemma set in as it occured to him to let you sleep there without disturbing you. He was unused to feelings of compassion, but still he lowered his bulk to the ground beside you, out of the sunlight where the chill in the air bit at his nose, and let out a big sigh as he gazed upon you...
