Hinckley, Ohio has the returning buzzards and San Capistrano it's swallows, but Midland, Michigan has Cicada Killers. This impressive wasp was spotted at Eastlawn Mall, moving a lot of sand out from under the curb & gutter in search of prey. She posed for a moment out of professional courtesy. It buzzed two old ladies on scooter chair only moments earlier.

The city actually has signs made up warning visitors not to disturb these insects as they make their nests around town.
