Joanna Constantyn is a hybrid human as most people who grew up in Phirecophin are. She is a part of the chimeran race who are known to evolve/change depending on who/what they've eaten. Pureblooded chimerans can nearly completely transform into whatever they eat, but generations of breeding with humans has caused this ability to become diluted although the chimeran genes are still present. Most often a chimeran can be identified from their lack of pupils or thin pupils and multi-colored hair however recent advances in science has made telling who really has the traits and who doesn't difficult. Naturally stronger and faster than humans, chimerans and to a lesser extent chimeran-humans can be difficult to fight against and often go into work involving combat of some sort to release their strength against their enemies.

Chimeran humans can be discriminated against at times as there are those who fear what they are capable of and criminal activity with these groups has increased leading to thoughts that Chimeran-humans are mentally unstable and can "crack" at any moment.

Aside from facing prejudice early on in her life Joanna chose to join the security because she looked up to them and wanted to make a difference in the city. Having grown up in some of the "slummier" parts of town she knew how bad the city could really be and with not many to call family she was granted one by the Security force making her very protective of her friends there.

Her sense of justice is strong and sometimes comes into conflict with those who slack on the job, but her reputation and strong case solving has led to her promotion into the S2 rankings. She is proficient in close combat and with her natural strength can surprise most of her opponents from the start allowing for an easy victory. She has also shown efficiency with the XP-50 and has moved on to more advanced training with other guns although she prefer hand to hand. She is more controlled in her attacks than most Chimeran-humans would be, but isn't afraid to use all her strength when she has to. She is however weaker than a pure Chimeran or even a halfbreed only being slightly stronger than an average human. Strong-willed and determined she doesn't call quits on much of anything and will fight till she can't fight any more.

She is content where she is now and has no plans for the future aside from continuing to do her job.

I didn't expect to write this much. There is more to her, but I think this is enough for now.
