I had such an elaborate background for this, it took me days of work and I abandoned it in favor of getting the image completed before I spent longer than a week on it. Which is unfortunate, but this didn't turn out badly either way.

Here we see Fondest (that's his name, or, at least what people call him) hunched over- watching you try and catch up with him on the walking path going back into town. He's a rather mawkishly sweet figure, not minding the wait, he's just happy to be spending time with you.
