After a long walk from his to Kurfust’s house Breihzlander was relieved to finally arrive. It was getting hotter these days and the walks felt longer with the heat blaring down from above all day. At least now that he was here to hang out with his longtime friend he’d be able to cool off with a nice drink or two.
Coming up to the door Breihzlander knocked, expecting Kurfust to open it, only for the door to swing open on its own. He gave a curious look before poking his head in, looking around to see no one there.
“Hello?” he called out, getting no response. “Kurfust? You there?”
With still no answer Breihzlander eventually made his way in, closing the door behind him. He was cautious with how we entered, looking around every corner and taking each step as slow and quietly as possible. The idea of a burglar or something worse came to mind which did make him nervous. Regardless he needed to make sure his friend was alright.
No one in the living room. No one in the kitchen. Breihz’s search eventually lead to the bedroom where it was the only other place anyone would be. He held his breath as he pushed the door open before seeing a shocking sight.
He found Kurfust alright but he was tied to his own bed. His limbs were bound by rope to the bedposts and he had tape over his mouth, which Breizh realized why he couldn’t call out to him earlier. He almost looked half naked at that with only the bedsheets providing any coverage for his nether area.
Breihz gasped before hurrying over to help him while saying “Are you alright? What happened? Did someone break in or what?”
After carefully having the tape removed, although still stinging on his furry lips, Kurfust answered “No. Worse.”
Hearing this Breihz guessed “One of the girls?”
“One of the girls.” His German Shepard friend nodded.
The two sighed and rolled their eyes while Breihz started to free his friend. He started on his wrists before letting Kurfust get to his other limbs. During this point Briehz made sure that his friend was still cover once he stood, reminding him he was naked underneath.
““How many times has it been now? Within the last month?” Breihz asked with a smirk.
“I…don’t even know.” Kurfust shrugged. “I lose count after how many times it happens in just a week.”
Breihz still smiled while shaking his head “They just can’t seem to leave you alone, can they?”
“Me? What about you?” he retorted while looking for clothes to put on. “Don’t act like they haven’t chased you around or tried tying you down. In fact isn’t it true you and your home teacher have a little something going on?”
Breihz’s cheeks went red as a tomato as he stuttered “T-That’s…well it’s not…”
“And what about that rumor I heard between you and THREE other girls?”
“I…I….I didn’t…I mean nothing…It…”
Seeing how embarrassed he was Kurfust chuckled “See? Told you so.”
Breihz was being nice enough to wait until Kurfust found some pants before pouncing on him. He had his friend in a hold and honked his nose, telling him to take it back. Kurfust, playing along, quickly slipped out before pulling a reverse on Breihz, now he holding his nose and forcing to admit he was right.
“Say it!” Kurfust playfully demanded.
“Never!” Breihz replied, his voice sounding funny from his pinched nose.
“Come on. Say it!” Kurfust insisted.
“Alright. I give! I give!” Breihz laughed, finally admitting defeat. Once Kurfust let him go he rubbed his nose while jokingly saying “Jerk.”
“Yeah and you still love me for it.” He quipped while finally looking around for a shirt. “Well either way it’s a good thing you showed up. No idea when someone was going to come around and let me out. I was getting hungry.”
“We still hanging out at least, right?” Breihz asked.
“Oh sure.” Kurfust assured him, finally finding a shirt. “Besides when the last time we hung out without having to deal with the girls, huh?” Breihz shrugged while Kurfust dressed, also saying “You know you always act different whenever the girls are around. More shy.”
He shrugged “Well you know me. I just sort of get that way when around pretty girls. Even if I’ve known them for so long. It’s easy for you. You’ve got all that confidence and attitude. That’s what gets them chasing after you so much.”
“And you think they won’t find that cute, shy boy image irresistible either?”
The two smiled before laughing at this, Kurfust giving a friendly jab to his friend’s shoulder, before they both walked in towards the kitchen. When he offered something for Breihz he refused, saying how he’d eaten before showing up. Kurfust settled for a nice bowl of cereal to fill his belly for now.
As he ate Briehz asked “So what’s the plan for today? Not going to try and test me with more running and swimming and all are you?”
Kurfust smiled and answered “No. I think at this point we both know who’s better at the physical stuff.”
“Yeah. EVERYONE knows.” He playfully threw back in his face. He then thought and then smirked “But I bet I can still be the best when it comes to video game fighting.”
Kurfust perked at that and asked “That a challenge?”
“Only if you say yes.”
Kurfust gave him a look that both said and emphasized when he declared “Oh it’s on!”
Kurfust didn’t even want to finish his cereal at this point. He just dropped the spoon and dumped what was left into the sink. He was practically dragging Breihz along with him as they both went to the living room where the game system and T.V. were. Kurfust barley had to ask which fighting game they were going to try, since he had an inkling about which one was Breihz’s favorite and best. His friend was already settled on the couch and waiting before he already turned everything on and walked over with both controllers in hand; passing one over to him.
“Ready for me to crush you into powder?” Kurfust challenged.
“Depends. Up for getting your butt handed to you like the girls always do?”
The way he’d said it was clear that Briehz was friendly but cautious with his challenging tone. Kurfust only smiled and shook his head, assured that he was going to win. Everything was set and ready before finally the two began to play.
Kurfust, using his favorite character, proved to be a good fighter. For the first round he had Breihz on the run. The right button mashing and combos here and there and Kurfust felt sure he had this in the bag. However Breihz, with his best character, wasn’t going down so easily. While Kurfust had the first round Breihz made a great comeback by the second.
Kurfust barley had a chance to react to half of the moves Breihz landed on him before it was already over.
With a coy look Breihz asked “So giving up now or later?”
“Oh no you don’t!” Kurfust retorted as they came to the third and final round.
Both were ready and had their fingers twitching with anxiety. As the game counted down they Kurfust and Breihzlander took final breaths, gulped down any doubt down their throats, and as the round started gave it everything they got.
Jabs. Kicks. Punches. Specials. They threw everything they knew at each other. The fight had things neck-and-neck between the two as the health bars got shorter and shorter with every second. There were times when one backed into the corner to get away from the other before jumping up and over to attack from behind.
The final stretch came up and in the last minutes the two had to pull out all the stops. Kurfust had it. He was going to win. He was going to finally beat-
“Winner: Player 2.” The game declared, Kurfust realizing he’d just lost.
While Kurfust had an aghast look on his face Breihz smiled “Don’t worry. If I can be honest I sort of knew this was going to happen. Nothing to be ashamed of.”
Kurfust gave him a really annoyed look, one that had Breihz worried for a moment, before he eventually broke down into a smile and said “Okay. Okay. You win. For now. But I know that in real life I’d win that fight.”
Breihz giggled “And while wearing that outfit?” he pointed out Kurfust’s character being a girl and all. “And I thought that was Jamie’s thing.”
The two laughed aloud at this, especially thinking to all the costumes they’ve ever seen their friend Jamie in before. Both eventually settled and realized they still had so much time left in the day.
“So…now what?” Breihz asked.
Kurfust thought for a moment, having one or two moments where he seemed to have an idea before backing down, until finally holding up the controller and asking “Go again?”
“Sure!”
And that was how most of the day proceeded on for them. No grand plans. No bigger agenda. Just two friends enjoying each other’s company, playing games and talking about whatever was in the news. One hour after another passed and they barley cared about how much time passed. No matter how bad things would get in the world they knew they had each other to rely on to just enjoy the good times.
Time would pass and eventually Breihz would have to leave. Around that time Dora was due to be home and as much as he wanted to say ‘hi’ he knew it would lead to him being later than usual. He said his final goodbyes to Kurfust before making for the door.
“This was fun.” He said to Kurfust. “So same time tomorrow?”
“If I’m not tied up by anything, or anyone, then sure.”
The two laughed before giving a friendly hug goodbye. Kurfust watched as Briehz left before finally returning to his room. He sat down before checking his phone, seeing he had a recent text from Xotica of all people. The title only said “Check this out” which peeked Kurfust’s curiosity enough to open it.
The text contained a picture of three girls, a rabbit, weasel and zebra, with Breihzlander bound and gagged to a sun chair with all of them having the funny expressions as they posed with him. Breihz himself looked worried for his life, surrounded by this three crazy girls.
Kurfust only smirked and said “Ha! I knew it. That shy guy act gets all the girls!”
