This is the first batch of a few to show off the various kinds of Lumexi that can exist. The theme for the next 8 Lumexi that I personally will make for examples will be based off of various flowers and butterflies. There will be 6 flower Lumexi and 2 butterfly Lumexi that will be made and posted.

So far we have one base made, but we will be experimenting with various wing and ear shapes when we have the time. These 6, and all subsequent examples posted, are owned by Storm and I until further notice.

Lumexi are a mysterious and magical species that isn't new to mankind. While no one knows for sure where they come from, we can safely assume that they are thriving even among humans. Children often see them, dubbing them their "imaginary friend" whenever they play together. Lumexi only reveal themselves to those they deem interesting or become attached to through circumstances relating to their own "birth". However, though sightings of Lumexi are still rather rare, those who have the pleasure of meeting them say that they are as varied as the objects they are created from.

Lumexi are an asexual species that lack all manner of reproductive organs. Instead, they create new members of their kind by infusing objects that have been cherished and loved by their owners with the Lumexi's own magic. This is often the reason for certain items going missing, and though Lumexi are not inherently malicious, they don't really care if that book is precious to you. As far as they are concerned, they want to be a parent and your book is the perfect medium for the creation of their child.

This strange species comes in one general form, but variations in wing shape, tail bauble, and ears are as common as the wind. It is because of this, that Lumexi aren't judged by their physical traits, but by the item they were made from. They take on markings and colors that relate directly to the object that aided in their creation, as well as interests that relate to it. For example, a Lumexi made from a flower would love gardening or flower arraigning, while one made from a journal would love writing or telling stories. One made from an ancient artifact might love the history of the region, or even believe themselves to be from there.

It's an interesting thing when a Lumexi is created. Objects that are common create a Lumexi that is deemed of a common rarity, while ancient artifacts or crown jewels would create a much rarer individual due to the lack of availability of both the objects and the love that could be poured into them. However, it isn't impossible for them to exist. A generalized list of rarities is being compiled by our scholars who are studying this interesting species, but it may take quite some time without outside inquiry.
