Beginning her life as a common peasant Kaede grew up among the volatile Central Lowlands. With the land her family worked changing hands every couple of months she was forced to learn how to fight early on. While she was taught basic fighting skills with her hands and body she was never allow to touch a weapon, her aging father insisting that he defend his family on his own. With the many kingdoms focusing on their wars bandits were allowed to run rampant, with one of the many roving bands finally targeting Kaede's home. The able bodied bandits quickly striking down her father and her mother soon after. Leaving Kaede alone on the inside of their dirt-floored hut. The girl of a mere 15 clutching one of her father's homemade spears tightly, a simple wood stick with a sharped end it was nothing special, nor could it stand up to the blades of the bandits outside.

The bandit leader, thinking he was free to loot the home was met with Kaede's fury the moment he opened the door. Wooden spear piercing his neck clean through, leaving the girl to pull back and stab him in the chest. The impact pushing him to the ground in front of his comrades, bleeding out quickly and choking on his own blood. The bandits quickly scattered at the sight, fleeing into the forests to avoid a similar fate.

It wasn't until the next morning that a military patrol came down the nearby road and noticed the bodies laying in the morning sun. Kaede sitting outside, still clinging her bloodied spear with deadened eyes. After some argument among his men the captain of the patrol pried the spear from her hands, and picked her up. Carrying her for nearly half a day along the rest of their patrol route and on to their encampment.

With no family to return to things moved quickly for Kaede. Her anger towards the still-living bandits fueling her to join with the army of the local ruler. A king that had secured a coastal harbor and was quickly expanding his influence across the region. Kaede was met with many objections but she persisted, and eventually got what she wanted. Taking to her training as well as any man she soon began to prove her worth, matching or outstripping many in skill she began to gather recognition, but had no desire to climb the ranks. Staying at a low rank even though she was bestowed armor deserving of her efforts, a fine set of green painted steel armor.

As the king she came to serve slowly took over much of the Central Lowlands the region slipped into a time of peace. With Kaede on the verge of turning 20 she was asked to leave the front lines. Both her and her superiors recognizing that her body's biology was catching up with her. Her trips to visit local town girls or nearby brothels growing more and more frequent, on the verge of interfering with her duties. Quietly she agreed and was relocated to a village near where her old hut used to stand. With orders to keep the peace she patrols many of the nearby hovels and villages, helping where it is needed and hunting down those who would bring harm to others.

Probably lots of mistakes in this but whatever :V
