And how do you differentiate a dream from reality if you don't have the mental capacity to understand the difference? Simple, be yourself, always, hold nothing back, don't plan, there's no tomorrow and there will be no future. Advanced minds build their imaginary confines of power and time. Animals, by design, cannot.

Maybe that's why we like them? They represent a dream of living outside confined thought.

Remember, dream. How we differentiate: you can wake up from a dream, and not from reality. But is it so?
