I'd pull in on a lot of those panels and definitely make the word balloons and text larger.

Just like, instead of doing all full body shots, vary them up a bit and pull in on facial expressions or upper body language on some panels where it's important. Or if you need to make the panels a little smaller or less open but show a lot of characters, you can do an over the shoulder shot where we see the back/ 3/4 back of some of the characters and see the others in front of them. And for the word balloons, just keep in mind when you're doing them that you should zoom out from your page to make sure it's still readable and redo them if you need to.
