I've been scribbling down ideas for a comic for a while now, and finally got round to the point where I can start world building in images! I'm starting with a few sketchy pictures of the world itself.
I'm going to sketch up various parts of the world that the story is set in and then one I feel sufficiently familiar with the world itself, I'll start working on character sketches, and finally the story itself.
I don't want to start delving too much into the story just yet, but the scenery will be green and wild for the most part, as the characters belong to tribal societies.
The first image shows a rough idea of how farming fields will be laid out... Flat areas cut out of hills and then supported with brickwork, where animals can be grazed or crops can be grown.
The second image is just to illustrate how thick and beautifully green (I LOVE the colour green!) the forest itself is.
I think next I'll start scribbling up an example of a city, or perhaps a different area of the world... maybe a coastal region.
