Their next issue is on prehistoric lions, so its like a must for me to do at least one illustration. I made the european cave lion, but wanted to do the north american cave lion too so, here he is. In the process of coloring this...

Pose inspired by the statues of the lions at the la brea tar pits exhibition i believe. Further reconstruction based on skull studies and mauricio anton's interpretations (for the color mostly).

Today I worked on my beer label for illustrator CS3 class, and a marker rendering of shaving cream and accessories for my product rendering class 9.9, PLUS the coloration of the american lion. Nope. I don't have a life outside of art, that's official.
