Let me show you how far I've jumped off the deep end.
I have a particular fascination for things that are...otherworldly, shall we say. Most I'm sure associate such things with aliens from outer space, or chaotic alternate dimensions and planes of existence, but the truth of the matter is that there are few places more filled with oddities than the ocean itself. What could the harm be in getting some tits involved in that, and perhaps ponies as well?
Imagine, if you will, coming across a sad pile of fleshy tentacles and limbs strewn across a beach, a monstrosity that defies all conventional understanding of the nature of the world you know. As it gives its dying breaths, it calls out for help, begging for someone to take care of its brood in its place - poor helpless children in need of a mother. What sort of kind, generous pony would Rarity be if she were to say no? It had seemed like it couldn't possibly be real, but then she started having dreams of the rising ocean, dark shapes beneath the waves, strange entities seeking out Equestria, longing for a home. And then she started to change...
Rarity was the first pony added to the concept of the Eldritchverse as I am currently calling it. Society remains largely intact, but ponies have begun to transform into monstrous hybrids, empowered by a force known only as "Truth" which is essentially the true secret behind life and the universe. Rarity is one of the stronger entities in the setting, her presence powerful enough to draw followers to her and influence them to partake in the enlightenment she has to offer. She has been elevated to a state beyond normal comprehension, but she retains some sense of morality and is ultimately still benevolent, as are most of the others. Which is good, because the increased prosperity and growth of life on Equestria is drawing the attention of creatures with far less noble intentions.
Well that's enough backstory. Ultimately I commissioned this a little while ago from
mr.pink as the debut of Rarity from this setting. She is primarily attributed to the sea (imagine me doing things with the sea) so I wanted to go with an aquatic appearance. Octopuses and squids and the like might be all the rage, but I wanted to do something different and instead based her more upon sea slugs since they've got that elegant compact appearance. Admittedly the design is rather heavily based upon Mother Kos from Bloodborne, something which had fascinated me ever since I first saw her (corpse) in the DLC.

Well at least this Rarity doesn't die horrifically in the process of her transformation like Techity did.
Dresses of flesh are all the rage.

Aeh...
As much as I would like to, doing more stuff with the eldritchverse just isn't very feasible.
My plans for the stories and setting were absolutely enormous and it's simply too much for me to do in any capacity when there are so many other projects I could be doing.
Perhaps I could be doing more slice of life-y content like A Rare Day, but I just don't think that would be the same, I wanted the story to be more than that.
I don't know how much more I could do in regard to pictures, I've already handled all the most significant principle characters, to say nothing of how difficult it is to get suitable artists for this kind of content.
