Hi everyone!
Here is a preview of the next Raawr avatar - a cheetah!
I've taken a new style on board this time to see if people like it, and to have a bit of a change for myself too.
It is full mesh and uses the DSD / RA 2.0 body (much like DSD's latest wolf)
So here are a few features explained (in no particular order):
The eyebrows can be hidden or detached
The eyelashes can be hidden or detached
There are digi feet and planti feet
There is a blush layer on the cheeks (slider controlled)
There are recolorable fingertips and toe tips, plus pawpads and claws
Textures will be included for the SL uvs to create appliers for third party bodies
There is a full alpha masking system for the 3 mesh bodies which are included
It's fitmesh
The head fluff can be hidden or detached
It is designed to fit rigged hair and clothes
Many scripted features are notecard-driven so can be modified by anyone with a bit of patience (ear positions for instance)
There is an expression system for the mouth and eyes
A development kit will be provided for people who want to develop specifically for this (or any other Raawr or DSD avatar)
There is a full hud which controls many many more features

I see what you mean yes. It's the format really, what you are seeing here is a plain base, based on a more cartoon style. Big eyes, snubby nose, and tiny hair tuft (all of which are classic to an actual baby, and also the style of some anime/cartoon). With some nice rigged hair, decent clothes and some accessories it'll come into it's own a bit more.
I don't see it appealing to many mature or male players. It's going to have a strong following with cutie female characters and ageplaying/cute/chub players.
If at all possible, maybe you could launch alternate head designs for additional fees to broaden the appeal. Some women would want a mature facial set, the parallel being sharp eye slant, high cheek bones, chiseled nose in human women. Men as well, would likely like a more aggressively set or sculpted style face.
It's your product, though, it's up to you if the profit is from those kind of people is something you want to chase.

Reading between the lines, it doesn't appeal to you as a male character - that's OK! Please don't suddenly expect a strong male character you can relate to from this avi though. It is what it is. For yourself and other people looking for stronger and more masculine characters, Raawr is probably not the store for you anyway (Try DSD). ♥ Thank you for your input!
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3583952/ This is the sort of stuff I've commissioned for myself. I was trying to be helpful to you, not whinge about testosterone. Clearly, indicated by the art, I'm not hung up on that.
There's no reading between the lines, it's about round facial features and angular ones. The "Mature"(you can read that as a hardship, sun damaged, starvation) face, versus a baby face. Women have these features too, here are some examples. I specifically talked about a "mature" face for a reason.
Here are some women exemplifying what I'm talking about.

It's the same with men, there are your Justin Trudeau, who I wouldn't consider hyper masculine, but he has a very chiseled face, then you've got your Justin Bieber.
In animals, you also have varying amounts of angular or not angular features. An English pitbull versus an American pitbull, or a northern lab versus a southern lab. A Corgi versus a Doberman.
I was seriously just suggesting that you could get more sales if you offered more than one default face. Modding some other head or the standard one included to match the fur textures is a little difficult without the original PSDs, and outside the capability of most users.
Human avatar sellers in second life at this point in time often sell the same avatar body, at full price, with different heads. They caught on to that marketing ploy.
I feel a tad insulted I'll admit, you read between the lines and saw something which was not there.

You're telling me an avatar which is cutie-ish and petite won't appeal to those who like stronger avatars... I am aware.
If this avi was for you, then this is not the first thing I think you'd write in a post. I read between the lines. Please don't be offended and please read my previous post carefully♥

Congrats on the new project! I always use Raawr felines for my purposes, and have directed many others to do the same; specifically the Tiger and Kitty. That said, I think I'll be giving this one a pass - I really like the way that a lot of your work captures the 'instantly recognizable' natural look, even while being stylized. This cheetah is nice and cute, but as you say, has a cartoonish look on purpose. With the abundance of that already in the SL market I still think there is a place for something more true to form. Best wishes!
