The Fruit Eating Challenge! (Remake)
This is a pretty special one.
This here is a remake of the very first story I ever posted on Furaffinty, and I am even posting it on the exact day when it was 3 whole years since I made this very first post on FA!
I can barley believe that I have already spent 3 years doing this stuff! :-O
But given that I am about 20 watchers away from reaching the 700 mark, and can even on some times get people to commission me for works must mean that I am doing something right here.
(Plus, since this is about "The Jungle Book" it is really funny that there was a new movie about these character made not long ago. )
Sadly due to some distractions in life I ended up rushing this project a bit, so it never really got to be as good as I had hope for. (Guess there is always next year again. :-P )
Still I hope you enjoy this read, and that you give the original version (That I made into a two parter.) and say what you think about having this being the very first thing I wanted to share with you all.

The Jungle Book version that I am using from belongs to Disney.
The warm and protecting summer sun was rising itself up over the wide open jungle.
Summer was truly one of the most wonderful times of the year. Not only for the warmth of the sun itself and how the waters got really relaxing to swim in, but also in how it was around this time when all of the different kinds of fruits was ripe and in perfect condition for being eaten.
And no one knew that more well the two of the best friends in the entire jungle. Mowgli the man-cub, and Baloo the bear.
Even thought their time together in the jungle had been limited it had been taking place during the summer times, and that had resulted in the two of them inventing their very own little game. And it was called...
The Fruit Eating Challenge!
It was as simple game as simple games go, with the two of them and one big pile of fruit to try and eat the most out of. As you could guess from this Baloo would very easily win this game every time they did it, but Mowgli didn't care that he knew he was never going to be able to challenge the appetite of the mighty bear, since secretly he almost always tried to see just how big he could manage to make that gut of his "Papa Bear" before he could rest on top of it as they both would have a great nap after that.
Sadly all good things has to come to an end, and after some dangerous encounters with both a Snake, an Orangutan king, and the most fearsome Tiger of all time, both Baloo and Bagheera was agreeing that Mowgli would be much more safer if he was to return to the Man-Village, from which he truly belonged.
It wasn't an easy thing to get used to, but even Mowgli knew that this was in the end the best thing for them all. (Even though he would greatly miss all of the times he could just lay down and sleep on the big furry gut of a bear, instead of in a hammock.)
About a year had passed since then and Mowgli had slowly but steady started to accept that the life in the man-village was his one true home now. But still he couldn't help but miss all the fun times he would have when living with his animal friends. (Especially Baloo.)
Still it wasn't something that was stuck in his head all day and night, until when summer was coming along once again and some of the adult men from the man-village said that "The fruit is in perfect condition for harvesting now!"
Having heard about the perfect fruit Mowgli immediately started to think back to all of his fruit eating times with his bear pal, and all of the sudden he had a super bad urge to go back out there and meet his jungle father!
The only thing he wasn't sure on what just how to do in order to escape the village, without risking of getting caught in the process.
Luckily for him he then heard that they where looking for volunteers to help collect in all the fruit, and without a second thought he immediately took and assigned himself to the group. (Saying that his "Knowledge of the jungle" would help them find the best fruit growing places.)
After assigning himself Mowgli only had to wait one more day until it was time for the group to head out into the jungle and collect fruits.
Their goal was to go deep inside and find some very rare fruit, making it even more perfect for Mowgli to later use this place to escape.
After wandering for about an hour the jungle boy started to get very reminded on all the trees and bushes he saw, and he fully knew just where in the jungle he was.
When his four other colleges was not looking at his direction Mowgli suddenly dashed off, and from behind he could hear how they all was shouting for him to come back to them. (But just like with an animal trapped in a cage Mowgli felt a lot more free now as he was running through the wilderness of the Jungle ones again.)
As he was making his way through the very tightly grown environment Mowgli started to panic a little bit at first over that he had no idea on where he should go in order to find Baloo, but then he started to remember that there was this big and old tree that he always used to rest under after a meal.
"If there is one thing a bear always keeps then it is a good resting place." was after all something Baloo always used to say to him.
Mowgli quickly started to head towards the direction of Baloo's favourtie resting place, and upon reaching the tree he was beyond happy that not only Baloo was resting under it at the moment, but also that despite Mowgli's absence he had still been packing on the pounds! (Proving once again that despite him being a fully adult bear, Baloo could still have some "Grow Spurts".)
His belly was now not only a big gut hanging out, but also starting to spread out on the sides. His arms and legs was as thick as tree trunks. And even his face was sporting some extra chins, and a couple of extra thick cheeks.
He decided to surprise his old pal by tossing himself onto his wide belly and give him a surprise hug!
It was an amazing to be able to do again, and despite the man cub having grown in length during a year Baloo himself had made hi body grow even more, as none of Mowgli's limbs actually managed to reach outside the fat field!
Baloo on the other hand who had been sleeping until now open his eyes in panic and made a great leap forward (Since he thought he was being attacked by something.), and he ended up slamming his giant belly down onto the ground!
Laying flat on his front Baloo was then very confused over where the so called "danger" had escaped, but then he started to hear some muffled sounds from underneath himself. When placing down his paws and lifting himself up slightly Baloo then saw how a somewhat dizzy (But very happy none the less) Mowgli was crawling out from under him.
"Kid! What are you doing here?!" The big bear asked pleasantly surprised as he picked up the kid and gave him a return hug from him. "I thought you where stuck living at the man village now."
"I decided to go out and make a small visit to you. It is the right season to pick fruits after all." Mowgli said, to which he made the old bear chuckle over how quick the kid was to get to what he wanted to say.
"You mean the yearly Fruit Eating Challenge? Sure. We can do that. But just remember that during your time away I have been doing many of these games with myself, so I am able to store a lot more in the tank, if you catch my drift." The bear warned, but that only made Mowgli even more eager to take on the bear again!
After a good 30 minutes of collecting the two of them had managed to gather up a pretty impressive pile of fruits by the old tree. This was for sure to be a fruit eating battle worth remembering for ages to come.
They where both pretty eager to start, so as soon as both of them shouted "GO!" they each started to dig deep into the fruit pile and swallowing down as many fruits that they could.
Given the fact that Mowgli had a record of always losing these things (Plus Baloo being larger then ever now.) he had no real goal of finally beating his animal dad this time either, but more pushing him into trying to eat more then the bear had ever eaten before!
As the pile was starting to shrink smaller and smaller both Mowgli and Baloo was starting to have their bellies grow bigger in size. But while Mowgli had his one growing outwards about 2-3 inches from all his fruit eating, Baloo's belly was growing out 2 to 3 FEET!
And as the final fruit was consumed by the bear it was safe to say that he had won once again. (But for Mowgli losing towards "Papa Bear" was nothing to be ashamed of.)
Baloo''s belly now could best be described as a large beansack that was being stuck to the rest of his body, while it itself was just hanging down and spreading out as it made contact with the ground.
Sitting down both of them felt that they where more then enough full now to call this a successful Fruit Challenge, and all they could think about was to rest.
Looking up at the sky Mowgli could notice how the sky was starting to turn scientifically more darker, and he was thinking about maybe trying to head back to the man-village now.
Baloo however placed a large paw over him and said that it would be "To dangerous to go out in the jungle all alone at night.", and that he would "Be much more safer if you stayed with me."
Agreeing that being with Baloo was the most safest thing he could ever imagine Mowglie decided to go and rest on top of Baloo's belly (Like in good old times.), before the two of them started to fall asleep.
Unknowingly to both of them they had actually been watched this whole time!
After past events with a certain King Louie trying to kidnap Mowgli (That ended up with his whole ancient palace getting crumbled into pieces.) and Baloo and Bagheera saving the man-cub from the mighty primate the old orangutan had sworn to get his revenge on them, and had been having all his monkey servant looking after the whole jungle for traces of any of them.
And now thanks to Mowgli fleeing the man-village and returning to Baloo they had now finally got the trace of him, and by the time the boy and bear was sleeping together a smaller army of the monkeys was watching them from the trees.
Not wanting to risk waking the big bear up the monkeys acted quickly by having four of them grab Mowgli's arms and legs hard, while a fifth one stuffed his mouth with an extra large Clementine.
Now both gagged and unable to move Mowgli was then forcefully dragged off quickly as more and more monkeys jumped down to help carry him away!
Not until the next morning did Baloo notice that something wasn't right with how he was sleeping.
When he didn't feel that he had the heavy weight of a child resting on him he woke up and noticed that Mowgli was nowhere to be seen!
He started to panic at first over not knowing that had happen to the poor guy, but then a very familiar smell started to be present at the place.
Monkey!
Understanding immediately that this was a work of King Louie, Baloo quickly got his bulky body up as he started charging himself quickly towards the now well known "Palace Ruins".
Upon entering the place Mowgli could see that not much had change since he and Baloo ended up smashing it all up.
There was still tons of rock piles everywhere, but now they had made up a little open up circle right in the middle of it all, and upon looking forward Mowgli also saw that King Louie had himself a new build throne to sit in. (And it also just so happen to be that King Louie himself was sitting in said throne!)
The ape king himself had changed a bit since his last encounter with the Man-Cub. (Or to be more specific, his weight has been his big change here!) The Orangutan had already been pretty big around his waist, but his fat midsection seemed to have almost inflated out like a balloon now as it seemed to almost be as big as the ape himself! His face also seemed to be a lot more "hidden" now, as he had tons more fat rolls in both his neck and chin and forehead filling up all around it.
He looked at Mowgli with very displeasing eyes as he said, "How nice to see you again Man-Cub. You probably thought that you had seen the last of me since our little enouncement, but I have been waiting a long time for this moment to come." He said before making a hand gesture for his monkey pecans to bring the boy closer to him.
"As you can see I might have had a bit of a hard time with myself afterwards, and driven myself into adding a small amount of weight onto myself." He said before patting his boulder sized belly a few times.
"But most of all I have been planning to finally try out the taste of REVENGE!" He said before licking his lips and slowly opening his jaws!
Mowgli could watch in pure horror down into the throat of the primate beast, and was for sure thinking that this would be the end of him when suddenly a familiar voice shouted "STOP!!!"
Looking at the other end of the ruins the very large figure of Baloo could be seen making his way down towards them.
Louie decided to push Mowgli aside, get out of his (tad bit small for this size) throne, and meet up with the bear on a One-One battle!
Seeing the two big build beasts standing close to each other all the monkeys and Mowgli was very unsure of what would happen next.
With any warning King Louie started to scream out loudly and tried to push Baloo into the stone rumbles outside of the ring, all while Baloo himself took a grip around the ape and started to press him back!
It was a real battle of strengths here as while Baloo was the taller and stronger one of the two, he was still mostly keeping himself in defense. (Since he couldn't fully reach down to get a full grip on Louie.) King Louie on the hand was shorter and heavier, and was working himself up like a wrecking ball as he was just constantly doing all the attack.
This was truly like watching an animal themed sumo battle (Given that they where both also more then morbidly obese beings.), but no human sumo would have ever dared fighting them as they where both weight twice as much as any professional sumo would ever do.
Still Baloo looked mostly like his regular bear self (Except looking more like an over stuffed Teddy plush at the moment.), while King Louie was so fat in his midsection that he just looked like a round ball with long arms and legs at the moment.
Seeing just how big and round his opponent was gave Baloo an idea, and with a quick side motion he managed to make the ape king tumble forward and end up rolling around his fat self!
He made half a clock turn and ended up with his face buried in the ground under his countless layers of fat, while his fat bum was shown for everyone to see!
And if that was not embarrassing enough the fat bear Baloo decided to make a final little touch by turning around, and place his own oversized rectum on top of King Louie's, before sitting down on top of the round shaped ape!
It was truly a very odd scene of watching this butt to butt action of Baloo resting his fat self on top of the upside down turned monkey king!
"Do you all like my new throne?" Baloo asked the monkeys as he rubbed his butt a few times to get extra comfy.
"GeT oFF me!!!" Could a very muffled voice of King Louie say, and after he first promised that he would release Mowgli and let them both walk free did Baloo allow the obese king of the apes to roll back with his head up again.
Upon traveling back home towards the man-village again Mowgli wanted to apologize for making them get into so much troubles.
Baloo in return said that there was nothing for the kid to worry about, since neither of them could have ever predicted the monkeys to show up.
"I just so badly wanted to meet you and do these things all over again. I hope they are not to mad at me when I get back home again." Mowgli said as he was riding tiredly on Baloo's back.
"I'm sure they will understand you, kiddo. Besides, we can always meet like this once a year if you want." Baloo suggested.
"Really?" Mowgli asked excited.
"Sure thing." Baloo said. "After all, why break good traditions?"

Baloo in return said that there was nothing for the kid to worry about, since neither of them could have ever predicted the monkeys to show up.
"I just so badly wanted to meet you and do these things all over again. I hope they are not to mad at me when I get back home again." Mowgli said as he was riding tiredly on Baloo's back.
"I'm sure they will understand you, kiddo. Besides, we can always meet like this once a year if you want." Baloo suggested.
"Really?" Mowgli asked excited.
"Sure thing." Baloo said. "After all, why break good traditions?"
