Life can be tough for Azar sometimes. He leads a bit of a double life. On the one hand, he's a well-known and popular hero and famed inventor of his world. As such, he has certain responsibilities and reputation to keep up. At any moment he could be called upon to help deal with a dangerous situation or be visited to see what new inventions he's working on. Appearances are very important for him and his reputation throughout not only the city of St. Heimself, but far beyond that as well.

So when instances where he's fattened up (by his own gluttony or, more likely, that of others stuffing him), it creates a bit of a problem for the dragon. He tries his best to hide his belly with his wings, but it proves ultimately useless. That's where we get cases like this, where our poor hero has to try waddling on home and doing his best to pick paths where people are least-likely to see him in such a state.

But many of Azar's friends know that he loves the feeling of being big, round, and soft. He denies it as much as he can, but he'll always eat the food that's offered. Even when it ends up with him having to waddle on home.
