During the 1980s, Disney's animation studios were in their dark age and they created some lesser-known animated movies which did not do as well in cinemas, such as "The Black Cauldron" and "Oliver & Company". Out of this list of movies, they also had the original "Zootopia". This 1980s version of Zootopia for the most part had the same story as the 2016 remake, but of course it did not depict any of the modern conveniences such as mobile phones or pocket cameras. Many critics of course praised the original style of cel animation, which was said to contain much of the original magic of Disney which the new Pixar CGI movies could never touch.
