Nivlek (who belongs to Kelvin) is a guest referee for this game, where Red and Showtime are the ones ready for opening tip-off. Most likely it is an exhibition/pre-season game, otherwise the league would probably require all players (and refs) to wear their complete uniforms.

On a somewhat related note: one of the greatest Laker commentators was Francis "Chick" Hearn, and when the Lakers would win by a good margin he would usually say this:

"This game's in the refridgerator...
The door's closed,
the lights are out,
the eggs are cooling,
the butter's getting hard,
and the jello's jiggling!!!"
