So I know it’s been a year, but I’m actually working on the story, and I’m almost done with the prologue! I did take a few liberties, and I changed Sonic’s clan from Sky Surfers to Skydwellers because I thought that would work a little better. I actually based quite a bit of the world around the Warrior Cats book series, and gave a semi-unique reason for why Sonic has such weak wings. I think I’m going to hide my comments here once I’ve published the story because I’d rather not link my public AO3 account to my FurAffinity account that has the same name as my private AO3 account (if that makes any sense at all), but I will still provide the link to here and add the picture at the start of the story :3
Like I said, I took a few liberties with the story (especially the secondary main character), but the basic idea is the same as what you said here :3
