This is the first mask I made for the production of Baccae that my college put on. At one point in the play, it was the only thing the actresses had on, while their characters were out frolicking in nature. The mask is made out of face fur from two coyotes. Don't worry, the rest of the animal was used too, they came from a population control hunt. The mask is supported by a wire frame underneath. The back is rabbit hide and the headband is fabric coated banding steel (or strap iron, depending on what hardware store you buy it at). I really enjoyed the whole project but I could have done without the fur cloud and smell of wet fur that followed me around for the month proceeding the play.
