This is a little something
farorenightclaw came up with. It makes me smile a big, big smile. Part of what I like about self-representing as feline is the tactile part. Tactile contact is very important: you get emotionally attached to what you touch (Arkes, Wolf, & Muhanna 2008). This on top of the already-known furry propensity for "Awright! Hugs!" Text turns it down again, but it doesn't go away. When I'm interacting in text, I try to use more than just the words that I want to say: I also want to simulate that tactile part of interaction and other nonverbal parts. Which, of course, requires more words, but that's fine: I spend a lot of time thinking about words anyhow. The picture is also adorable because it shows the size scale of our characters pretty well: Farore is right about the size that presses my momma-tigress button. That and her general awesomeness mean that she gets lots of fussing-over (I mean, look at her adorable floofy tail).
Original here.
Thanks, Farore!
