Originally Jenny stayed mainly in the role of support during battles, letting her more aggressive teammates deal out the big hits while she backed them up with a Helping Hand or carefully aimed Ice Shard, or occasionally darting in just long enough to distract an opponent. Since her moveset didn't really function well in a one-on-one setup, she would often just stick to team battles whenever possible.

But after a rather serious incident which left her and several other students badly injured, she began to feel that standing back all the time wasn't going to be enough eventually, and might have dire consequences if something like that ever happened again. Recently she's been working on taking a more up-front approach to fighting, and until she can boost her moveset with more offense-oriented attacks she's relying on her hand-to-hand fighting to make up the difference. Very few outside her team know that she's had formal training in Vale Tudo, one of the most aggressive fighting styles out there, and that plus her new attitude towards battling may make folks start to think twice about her being the sweet girl that wouldn't hurt anyone.
