It is with a heavy heart that this piece was made today. My thoughts are with those who have been impacted by this mornings occurrences. So many lives have been lost at the hands of bigotry and hatred. I plead for everyone who sees this to reflect on their own lives, their privileges and those we hold close. Last night our world was shaken again. This attack will no doubt lead to the hatred of Islam folks and other marginalized communities. I implore for you to reflect on those thoughts, and where they come from. There are queer folks who practice Islam. More so it is up to each of us individually to support, protect and love one another. To do that we all must learn tolerance, listening, and understanding.
