The Outsiders is one of my favorite books.

It's a really good book. c: I read it for a class project all the way back in 6th grade haha

Yeah. That was one book I actually read before I saw the movie and the movie really disappointed me with how much was taken out :/

Yeah the movie cut out a ton of material from the books, which sucks. :c
I guess that's what Hollywoods good at when turning a book into a movie lmao cutting all the good stuff out

Yeah. Way more character development in the books. Besides Ponyboy and Johnny, the movie gave no reason to feel anything for the rest his brothers. Which upset me, because Dallas and Sodapop were great in the book v.v

Yeah, they really only focused on the Ponyboy because he narrated. The rest of the gang was just...there, no real character development for them. Johnny was always my favorite for some reason I just really liked his character haha it always kills me when he dies. It's been so long since I've seen the movie but I don't remember Sodapop doing much more than a few talking roles and fixing cars on the side. I really need to re-watch the movie...probably read the book again too it's been 7 years OTL

Yeah. Both Sodapop and Dallas only talked a little. You see a little bit more of Dallas than Sodapop, but really only because of the shootout with the cops.
