I like the painterlyness!
Only thing I can think to say is, if you wanted to make it even more painterly; try reducing/blending the outlines more on the outside edges as well. Having the hard outlines on the outside draws some attention away from the awesome shading you did on the inside.

Yes I agree with @connorwuff, and if you want to do lines then don't use a really dark colour for it. Like for example instead of using black/dark grey to separate the ear from the head. You could try taking the 'white' you used for her, and making it darker essentially. Another way is you could also take from the brown, and make it light. Then the line wouldn't be so harsh.
