The Master-Controller (or, more accurately, Master-Controller of facility 42) is a robot tasked with directing the efforts of all the other robots in it's jurisdiction zone. It does not "rule" over said robots in the traditional sense, and does not possess any greater authority than any other robot; it merely finds the optimal solution to the tasks of it's fellow robots and presents it to them in a series of commands. Generally they are found at instillations with high activity rates, to better coordinate the workforces there.

Because of the large computational power they possess, there are a number of cases of Master-Controller units gaining true sentience. Their small stature and weak physical prowess was primarily designed to reduce any superiority complexes that may develop should this occur; by requiring the help of it's comrades for most nonessential tasks. Generally most units like to be shadowed by a far larger "guardian", which serves the dual function of ensuring the protection of the unit, and allowing them a method of asserting authority in the event of rogue units attempting a mutiny.

This little cutie was created over the course of a lovely little RP I had with  Whisker-ama (of which I shall spare you the details). I just loved the idea so much I had to draw it, so... Here it is.
