Hey guys.
So I wanted to share this with everyone...as I hope it inspires some of my fellow artists...to keep trying. Keep practicing.
In 2007, I created the first plush I had ever made. I was only 17 at the time, and honestly...had no idea what I was doing. I'd learned some basic stitching from my grandmother, who was patient with my younger "know it all" self. I spent many hours working on that sad potato of a plush. And in the end....I wasn't very happy with it. It didn't turn out anything like I had hoped. At all. A few years went by, and I didn't really bother to pick up another needle and thread. But something gave me a kick in the pants to try...try again, and keep pushing at it.
Over the years I practiced on various creatures and characters, trying new techniques and teaching myself how to design my own patterns. I haven't made a Majin plushie since 2007 utilizing my own pattern, my own brains. Until...today. I finished this plush id been working on and off for a few days just waiting for materials to get here so I could work on commissioner's pieces.
In this picture...7 years of growth shows. What I'm saying...is don't give up. It's not going to happen over night. It's not instantaneous, much as I REALLY wish it was.
Keep practicing. Don't get discouraged. Keep at it, and continue making beautiful things ^^

I'm in one of those slumps right now. This is a great reminder to keep working. I appreciate your positivity! I have to give your younger self kudos for trying to show the dimension of the muzzle with just the lines on the side, but the improvement is astounding.
I love that what really dates this is the D.A.R.E. ruler though. x3
