My roommate Andy and I played our first two games of x-wing today, and they were both victories for me, this pic was near the end, where despite some extremely unpredictable flying from Andy, I managed to land Wedge Antilles at range 1 behind the Blue Squadron Novice (the T-70 on the right). That Y-wing to the left had just taken 7 damage from 2 shots, counting the damage caused by a Direct Hit critical. By some astounding twist of fate, with a single defense die, and one health, that y-wing evaded the last shot fired at it to survive the game 2 turns after this.
Despite flying against newer, statistically better fighters, Wedge and Gold pilot showed that luck and veteran tactics can trump even the most superior of forces.
Credits to Andy, he took his two losses really well and insisted we play more, so this may be a weekly thing for us now, we just need more ships, but, well, all in good time.

I'm aware of the addiction, while my fleet is small now (2 T-70s, 2 y-wings, a-wing, e-wing, T-65, 2 TIE/fo's), my roommate insists on being able to run the Baby Blue list (4 T-70s), and Han, and I have a scum list to try against it... Not saying my CoolStuffInc cart has over $300 in it right now, BUT DAMNIT LARGE BASE SHIPS ARE ESSENTIAL!
