A commission for
tyla!
Spotting a lovely Vaporeon suit in the store, Tyla walked over to the display to look at it. But something was off. Looking behind the suit, there were three shadows on the wall from how the lights were set up on the display. But the middle shadow for the suit was missing, even though the hat rack's shadow displayed firmly upon the wall.
Walking behind the display to see what could cause this unusual phenomena, Tyla was suddenly forced against the wall, and lifted up onto it. His body began to distort and shift, seeming to flatten out as the lights blared against him, blinding him as he changed. The shadows to either side of him giving evidence of what he would soon become, his fingers lengthened out into a tail, while his head started to sink into the flat fins and neck frill of the two dimensional shade on the wall that he was becoming.
This picture was actually quite difficult! The light play and shadows itself were more than I have worked with before, but I also tried out a new shading technique! I'm more of a fan of the way I shaded before, so I'm going back to that, but still. I think it turned out rather well!
