In 2010, Coalition Technologies International acquired the brain scan of a young girl terribly burned during a terrible plane crash. This scan was put to use developing a new set of advanced androids, the Apex line. Thus far CTI had developed two variants, phase one although a working prototype for the first series the V1s had completed, they had trouble identifying civilians in a battlefield. The V2s, while powerful they lacked the processing power needed to be effective in a warzone and keep up with living comrades and foes.
The mind of this girl, Meer, was taken and used in the simulations. She experienced two decades within a process of a couple years, unrelenting training and moral simulations, infiltration, warzones. Eventually, her mind was placed in a robotic testing body underneath a medical facility, CEFF, in Australia. It was here, in her madness that she would slaughter staff and security, as well as critical injure many (among them, one Evelyn Lawson.) Eventually, her test body was destroyed, but soon enough a new one was built.
Moved to the CTI facility known as The Range, construction on Apex V3 began. Here, a lynx body was built, based on the recorded mind and the "genetics" of the deceased Meer. Using an artificial muscle structure built over a powerful body, the company spared no expense created a non-magnetic, pseudo-organic form. While she could not be a living person, she could pass for one. Her body able to generate a false pulse, breathe, among things.
With help from a robotics engineer, a former employee of ARC Industries and developer of the Cyber-Lynx's jets was brought in and hired. Soon enough Apex V3 had an adanced flight system, dual jets in the legs, single in the palms as well as force thrusters that would balance her mid-flight. This was combined with a series of weapons, including hidden guns built into each arm, folding railguns stored in the shoulder, and hand jets that doubled as charging cannons (or energy swords for close range). On top of this, Apex was given nanogel, a syrup like gel substance that would restore damage to her or her covering tissue and in extreme cases allow her to re-attach limbs.
For a power source, Meer was supplied with a copy of the energy core found inside of the Cyber-Lynx, although her own core featured various empty slots for upgrades that have not-been developed or implemented. (One of which, is listed under project "Soul Drive") Said core allows her to continue store energy either through absorption or by processing fuel in the form of food, or alcohols or other liquid fuels. Since her creation however, Meer has escaped from CTI, an event she does not have memory of and seeks to distabilize the company in order to prevent them from doing what they did to her, to others. She wishes to do this through murder of select people in the company, although her design has already inspired dozens of Apex V4 models created by CTI.
