This is a character my friend Shoka and I created together last year, Angavu which means 'clever' in Swahili.

He was one of Simba and Nala's cubhood friends and was the voice of reason of the three of them and tried to persuade them from going on any of their reckless adventures but of course they didn't listen =p He always greatly admired Mufasa for how powerful and wise he was, and usually spent time with the great king while Simba and Nala were getting themselves in trouble. Angavu himself had a lot of insight and wisdom for how young he was and was able to read others well, so he had always known something was up with Scar but Simba always called him nuts for being wary of him. After Scar took the throne, knowing Angavu was a threat with both being a rival male, and his distrust of him, exiled him. Angavu was still either a cub or just starting adolescence at the time. Scar also placed the hyenas around the borders of the Pridelands as guards to keep Angavu from trying to come back.
