Here's another comic gag with an even fatter version of Kelvin the Lion's character 'Orange' the kangaroo (from "Macropod Madness") - though it's pretty hard to tell with that ginormous gut sticking out of the doorway... =OQ|
When I'd first drawn this strip back in 2006, the International House of Pancakes was promoting "National Pancake Day", which falls on the last Tuesday of February - also called (coincidentally enough) 'Fat Tuesday' - which, in that case, was on February 28th. Anyone going to an IHOP that day was entitled to a free 'short stack'.
So that this comic won't appear outdated, I'd edited the text for 2009 - marking this year's "National Pancake Day" on February 24th. Of course, participating IHOPs are once again offering a free 'short stack' of pancakes. However, 'Orange' probably managed to get her paws on a lot more pancakes during another recent IHOP promotion - the "all-you-can-eat" offer (which may be still going on right now, but don't go by me)! :-P
