Thank you for the comment. I'd only had one marker class in school, but it was informative. The trick is to treat them like pastels, blending the compliment colour to darken and dull the lower tint, rather than add black or grey.

Thanks, CB. I think it's rough... I just wanted to test out the tools on something to which I wasn't too attached. I'm also a little rusty with that medium.
I've got a large stock of art materials in my studio. The stuff that's dried out, washed out, or icky, I want to toss. Then I can pick up replacements before I need them. I probably won't replace the markers right away... they're expensive, I don't use them often, and I still have enough in the set to continue working. I'm just missing chunks of the yellow-oranges and purples, which I can get by blending other tints.
