It's a creature that is either so incredibly vain, or so incredibly desperate for affection/recognition, that it abducts anything or anyone that speaks or writes out its name, official SCP number, physical description, and so on. So the catch is that you have to refer the creature through images and icons, lest you unwittingly summon it.
