This sweet little filly -- who is VERY tall -- is Alate Pie, and is the daughter of Queen Chrysalis and Pinkie Pie. I tried to combine Chrysalis’ colors and Pinkie’s and it just Did Not Work, so I tried to come up with a sort of compromise between the two schemes. Alate takes more after her Mother – Chrysalis – than her Mommy Pinkie. She’s a bookworm by nature and sometimes gets in trouble for hoarding more books than she strictly has room for. Her first word was “why?”

A sort of member of the next generation of Royal ponies. A princess she might or might not be, but her official title is Ambassador of the Changelings.

Fun Fact: Alate is a word that refers to winged insects, primarily ones that are social – such as ants, aphids, and bees.
