Nope! Pryde (big white fluff) is Malamute X wolf X husky, Jez is Wolf X husky, and the other two are purebred Shetland Sheepdogs.

Yeah, getting them all to focus is not easy! Although I find that Rogue (sable sheltie) is easier to photo than the others. She sees the camera and poses. No, really.

twice a year when they blow out their coats, absolutely. I keep them pretty well brushed, though, and it isn't usually an issue.

yeah, my hair is totally purple. it was going to be a one-time thing, but then I liked it so much that I'm maintaining it, even though I have never ever been a do-stuff-to-my-hair kind of person. Glad you like!

Even with just ONE big white Akita-shepherd mix my mother had to vacuum virtually every other day!

hah, my house is not exactly "clean" by some standards (and don't forget the three cats and 2 small parrots, they add to the cleanup too). But I spend a LOT of time bathing and brushing dogs. The double-coated breeds tend to blow their coats twice a year, and if you really brush the heck out of them then, coupled with bi-weekly touch-up brushing, the dog hair stays pretty much under control.

hah! No cocaine, although from his excitement at feeding time, you'd think that he got something more interesting than dog kibble. Coba has those funky wild blue eyes because of his merle genes.
