Now a full body of him!
This isn:t exactly a ref. I wanted to just point out some things on this new species.
-they are digigrade while Volatikai are plantigrade
-the spines become erect when they are threatened. When down they are smaller than the erect ones, too.
-they have whiskers instead of tentacle things (which I changed from here http://shorty-antics-27.deviantart......ekai-609228477 ) to help them see in the dark.
-very long tails with spines at the end.
And that:s all for now.
His name is Acon, which is short for Aconitum which is a poisonous flower.

I at first tried to go a different route but it wasn't working, and thought I was going to name them as Ostikai because I thought the first part meant "poison"... but dumb google gave me the wrong definition. >C
So went with "Vene" which is short for venenum which means venom in Latin. They are venomous and poisonous and are pretty much vampires. So decided to make them sound like Volatikai as well even though they aren't the same species.
So Volatikai are like horses and Venekai are like donkeys.
