And we could run away
Before the light of day
You know we always could
The mountains say, the mountains say
Message to Bears - Mountains
Second image for Aigippus event of Flooded, once more featuring Rookan!
The Aigippus was going to stay right here, in this lands. Or so it had decided. Initially, anyway. But day after day made it harder to hold onto that decision firmly and know it was worth it. Sure, this was familiar territory, and... No, that was it. There was nothing else to these lands right now. And they might be familar, but what does that mean when familiar equals hostile? Besides... They might as well be strange, with the water changing the landscape drastically. There was water everywhere. Even if a field looked dry and inviting at first, a hungry Aigippus would soon find that upon stepping into it they were at least knee-deep in cold, dirty water surrounded by grasses that were actually much higher than what they looked like at first. The fields with shorter grass just looked like ponds by now. And the dry dust places that used to be great for rolling were infested with mud. Sluggish, thick, cold mud that sucked at everyone who passed through, as if it was just as hungry as them. Some of the small equines were starting to have issues walking, thanks to infections caused by the wetness their legs were in pretty much constantly by now. Not to mention the food they had to life off. None of the food that was left was particularly appetizing. Soaked weak plant material or grass that made sand crack between their teeth? And everything tasted like mud somehow, too. As much as this particular Aigippus had vowed to stay, there wasn't much in here that was worth staying for.
Have some more Rookan, because I'm really enjoying this :B Poor little thing is suffering.
This background was so hard to do, I went with something different at first and had to redraw it so many times, ugh! Hope this looks muddy enough now.
