First, you may NOT make one of these for yourself! To be honest, you have no reason to, they haven't even been fleshed out as a species yet. So uh, yeah. No.
Basically they're a race of shapeshifting aliens that take on the form of a planet's most technologically advanced species in order to destroy said species. They do this out of a need for intelligent-ish labour on their home planet mostly, though in some cases they do this to curb the progress of would-be enemies.
