Because of my deer rib earrings, people are always asking me if I need/want bones. I was working at a restaurant until recently, and one of our customers brought me a whole deer skull, antlers and all as trade for a necklace. I was pretty excited about it. It's the first time someone's given me two whole antlers, kind of a rarity in the huntin' hills of the south. The claws on the necklace are coyote claws, given to me by Bunny. She gave me a bunch, cause she's a sweety <3
If you guys didn't know, I LOVE to carve things out of bone and horn. Prolly my favorite medium lately.

This particular piece is antler. The head and neck are the first tine, and the wings are carved from the first inch or so of the shaft. I'm really glad you like it! Your stuff is so intricate. My pieces are still kind of rough, but then, this is only my third real carving. I hope I can reach your level of craftsmanship some day :)
It can be hard to find the time. You have to do any carving outside, preferably with something over your nose and mouth, cause bone dust is bad for your lungs, so you usually have to do it during the day. I'd have allot more carvings if that weren't the case :/ You could wire them together while inside or at night though, like I did with Willy. What kinda things were you thinking about doing?
