Commission: Interrogation at the Throne
This is a commission for my good friend
shadowkeeper featuring himself Shadowkeeper. Also and finally, the depiction of Shivanian Fortress' throne room where King Corus currently sits and rules the Xan'Orthras! His bodyguard Troojhar, the former Ta'zarian barbarian who took an oath to Shivanian Tribe, is there to reason out with Shadowkeeper.
And here's the story how the pic should be ended in a good way:
There was a portal appearing from nowhere, while the king wasrelaxing at the hill within the heavily-guarded walls of Shivanian Fortress at the top of the mountainous kingdom, Xan'Orthras. King Corus was pounced by a strange looking grey reptilian warrior with white mane, wings, spiked tail and fins. The creature was seen wielding a majestic sword, wearing adventure garments and foot pads. When being pounced, King Corus recovered himself as he found the squirming warrior on his torso, which alerted his royal guards to capture the possible intruder.
King Corus stood up on his semi-bipedal feet, and he was tensed by the landing accident. So he ordered the guards not to throw him into the dungeon, but instead send him to the throne for a private talk after thirty minutes.
The witness was Troojhar who had been close to him. Troojhar gathered the reasoning that intruders are those who want to eavesdrop, assassinate or undercover secrecy in the heart of the Shivanian Tribe, but Corus told him to mention them later. He followed Corus to the front gate and Corus marched into the throne room, where the other guards respectfully made a stance and opened the grand door for them. He returned to his throne, relaxing by the spacious chamber illuminated by brightening stained glasses. Troojhar stood at the king, waiting for the intruder to arrive.
The royal guards had the grey dragon tie his hands and strip off his weapons, and they marched forth over the carpet before the king. King Corus ordered the guards to stay outside the room, leaving only him, Troojhar, and the intruder. After the chamber became quiet, King Corus asked:
"How did you get in our kingdom? This is the most protected place on Lizardland."
"But...I don't know how I really get here, sire. I was just jumped into the portal and landed here."
"I see, but are you from Ta'zarian Tribe, our enemies? They have the warriors with similar, distinguishing characteristics of you."
"No...I'm not! I don't know who they are!"
Troojhar stepped to side with the grey dragon in order to cease his worry and tension during this interrogation. "Your majesty, I don't remember they have grey dragons. Don't you know that the Three Tribes doesn't have bipedal dragons like him?" He asked.
"I understand your fact, Troojhar, but this intruder may be dangerous. He could be the spy from any other nations," King Corus said. He did this accusation since the great battles of the past with numerous spies, impostors, and pretentious strangers. Remembering that his father King Taskhr had also experienced the similar events, he made a deep thought with his fingers under his chin before his dewlap.
"But, sire," Troojhar said, "He doesn't mean to infiltrate our secured kingdom. Am I right, visitor?"
The grey dragon nodded, "It's true! With due respects, I'm the adventurer, and the portal led me to random location like...this...um, awesome scalies?"
"I see. What is your name, dragon?"
"S-Shadowkeeper."
"Mmmmmhm, shadow...keeper? That's an interesting name. You remind me of a friendly shadow dragon named Iraskor Razor, but he's the black dragon, though. But, we will have further discussion about your people, your society, and your differences to ensure you are safe to welcome in our tribe. And then, we will gain trust with each other and take a tour around. You will meet our most notable champions."
Shadowkeeper became curious and interested, feeling relived when King Corus made a decision of non-guilty, "like, who?"
"Their names are Hotara, Skaro, Agamid Drakarum, Ki'trak, Kary'lekt, Rax, Khorvis and Vedran."
"I am glad you have decided him not guilty, your majesty," Troojhar said, smiling as his defensive reasoning was successful.
"Oh, thank you, guys! I knew I'm on the right place to seek new worlds!" Shadowkeeper said, and Troojhar untied his wrist restraints. King Corus told his royal guards to retrieve Shadowkeeper's possessions, the sword and secondary weapons. Shadowkeeper is fed with royal dinner, and King Corus and Troojhar were curious about the visitor's origin. They gave him a room for a rest and tomorrow would be a perfect day of exploration.
